Eww, you broke it One day, when I was working at a school, I heard a chorus coming from the boy's bathroom. I went inside to see what was happening. I heard a collection of kindergartners or 1st graders, say, eww, you broke it, as they looked up at the paper towel bin with it's door hanging open. As soon as I realized what happened, I closed the bin. I don't remember how gentle I was, but I think I might have cracked a smile and said something like, that's OK, we've got it. That experience gave me hope. Because, it occurred to me, that just as in that situation, some people saw a problem but didn't see a solution, while someone else saw a solution and was able to resolve it. There are many areas in my life, like the middle East conflict, where I might see problems but not solutions. But I know that there are other people with other perspectives, abilities, etc. to solve or help solve problems.
